Valve Rotator/Rotocoil for American Heavy Duty diesel engines
The Rotocoil turns the valve with each actuation and performs the role of spring retainer
A simple device designed to turn the valve slightly each time it opens.
Rotators are factory installed to the top of the valve spring (in some cases the bottom) to reduce carbon deposits on the valve and seat. They help prevent burning and guttering of the valve face and seat, reduce thermal gradient and stress and facilitate stem lubrication. Through these benefits, lower emissions and longer component service life is achieved.
