Injector Tubes for American Diesel engines
Injector tubes to suit Cummins, Detroit, Mack and Navistar engines
A precision tube installed in the cylinder head’s water jacket to house the injector and maintain a controlled temperature for consistent injector function. Most press and seal tubes require a procedure with special tooling for successful installation as specified by the engine manufacturer.
Materials used include Brass, Cast Iron, Copper and Stainless Steel. Empower injector tubes, ‘O’ rings and water directors satisfy all dimensional and material requirements as designed by the manufacturer.
Various late model engines incorporating HEUI & EUI high pressure injectors, biofuels and the EPA’s mandate for cleaner/safer fluids and long life coolants, use stainless steel tubes. Some applications including EGR use screw in tubes. Manufacturers and engineers alike are constantly researching designs and material testing to ensure components meet the demands of an ever changing environment.
