Diesel Fuel Injectors, Capsule Nozzles, Fuel Lines & Components
Diesel Fuel Injectors to suit Cummins, Caterpillar, Detroit & John Deere.
Diesel fuel injection invented by the German engineer Rudolf Diesel some 100+ years ago has seen many improvements since its inception. The diesel engine has many advantages over other internal combustion technologies including the use of alternate bio-fuels. The diesel cycle has the highest thermal efficiency of any basic internal combustion engine due to a very high compression ratio.
The fuel pressure in some diesel fuel injection systems is created by a high pressure pump while others use the engines camshaft via a link to a unit injector. The fuel injection is precisely timed, metered and atomized to produce the most efficient combustion for optimum power output and fuel economy.
Today’s fuel systems in heavy diesels use EUI (electronic unit injectors) and HEUI (hydraulically actuated, electronically controlled unit injectors) which have much higher operating pressures, affording a number of benefits. Improved efficiencies include better fuel economy, lower emissions, very accurate timing, multi-pulse injection, cylinder balancing and the ability to switch off individual cylinders under part load.
Empower offers a number of new non-electronic fuel injectors and nozzles, fuel shut-off solenoids and prime pumps for many Caterpillar, Cummins and John Deere applications.
