Water Pumps – Cummins, Caterpillar, Detroit S60, John Deere & Mack
Cummins, Caterpillar, Detroit S60, John Deere, Mack & CaseIH water pumps for most engine models.
Engine cooling systems for today’s diesel engines are pivotal to the sustainability of the powertrain. An upward trend in engine horsepower (with little change to engine bore size) and the EPA’s mandate for cleaner, safer, long life coolants has kept engineers busy with technology and efficiencies.
Empower water pumps are manufactured to new OEM and QC requirements. Function and leakage tests performed at the factory to ensure pumps meet the manufacturers’ requirement and provide a good service life. Whilst affording consistent and reliable performance in a variety of operating environments, manufacturers’ continue their research and development in this field.
Most Empower pumps are supplied with the necessary gaskets and seals to facilitate installation. New products and kits are often being added to the range. A good selection of oil coolers, thermostats, water taps and install repair kits are available to compliment cooling system repairs. Up to date referencing and supersessions ensure accurate supply of pumps and kits.
Where new pumps are no longer available for some early generation engines, a remanufactured unit may be offered. Pumps are supplied with new shaft, bearings, seal/s, impeller etc. These units attract a core charge at point of sale to encourage prompt return of the used core. The core is then dismantled and assessed for parent component reuse.
On The Wider Horizon
Technology is constantly on the move. A vision towards variable flow pumps and seal shroud technology is anticipated in the next generation heavy duty diesel & gas engines.
